Haunting Investigation of a Residence

Family and Site History
Our client, her husband, and their daughter have occupied the home for the last 2 years. The residence was built in 1971 and has had 2 previous owners. The home was leveled in 2003 by a massive tornado, and was rebuilt from the original slab.
Unexplained events began in July of 2009, and were first witnessed by our client and her husband. The family claims to be experiencing paranormal phenomena almost every day that includes: footsteps at night, lights and ceiling fans turning on/off, radios turning on, the door in the garage shutting, a black mist in the archway, a shadow person in the hallway, knocking, voices, shuffling in the hallway, the sound of glass shattering, a small child running from one room to another, the smell of cigar or cigarette smoke. The residents noted that in March 2011, they moved the mirror from the bathroom to the hallway, and have since noticed the shadow activity has increased. Our client has witnessed the disembodied voice of a young male saying “hey babe” while she was in her daughter’s room. The family also claims the dog stares down the hallway and seems to always be “on alert”.
The Investigation

Baseline EMF readings averaged between (0.0-1.2). Baseline Temperature readings averaged between 79.4 -82.4 degrees Fahrenheit. All baseline readings were within normal limits. Ambient noise was at a minimum, and did not pose any obstacle to the investigation. Exterior noise was sporadic, and was marked on audio as it occurred by the investigators.

Investigation Results
EVP/Ghost Box Communication
- Class A EVP: 0
- Class B EVP: 1
- Class C EVP: 1
- Ghost Box: 2
- EMF/KII Hits: Sporadic with some possible interactive responses, however, we are unable to consider this evidence given the nature of the readings from the digital meter box outside.
- Photographic anomalies: None
- Video anomalies: None
Personal Experiences:
- Chelsea thought she saw the outline of a figure by the closet in the child’s room, and noticed the room get darker.
- Susie thought she saw the white part of a figure in the child’s room and again later by the bathroom.
- Laura saw a black mist or shadow at the foot of the child’s bed as well as noticed the bedroom door moving.
- While inside, Team #3 heard the door from the garage close a moment after Susie had returned from retrieving the walkie-talkie from outside. They radioed to the investigators outside to confirm that no one else had entered the home. However, those outside did not notice the door open or close.
- Several investigators experienced uneasy feelings and unexplained emotions throughout the investigation. We cannot consider this evidence of a haunting, but rather interesting personal experiences.
Conclusion
After careful review of all the visual and audio files gathered during the investigation, we found very little concrete evidence of a haunting. While there was some EVP and Ghost Box activity (which is an indication of paranormal activity), it is in itself not sufficient to bring us to the conclusion that the house is indeed haunted. We experienced a lot of EMF/KII hits, but upon investigating the exterior rear of the home, we were able to compare the spikes on our equipment with the digital electrical meter. We did, however, also experience what seemed to be interactive responses as well. Due to the nature of the homes natural EMF, we cannot claim these EMF / K-II hits as evidence.
