I became fascinated with paranormal experiences and researching the paranormal by watching popular paranormal television programs. After watching the shows for a couple of years, I planned a weekend getaway with friends to a historic hotel notorious for being haunted in search of real life haunted experiences. I was not disappointed. At around 11:30 pm I was walking the hallways with my friends looking for "ghosts". Something caught my attention from the corner of my eye. I looked to my left and up on the staircase one floor above me was a male black shadow figure from head to toe. The shadow figure had both of his hands on the staircase banister looking down the staircase to the floors below as if he was admiring something. I looked directly at the shadow figure and the shadow figure looked directly at me as if we made "eye contact". The entire encounter was very brief approximately 10-15 seconds. The shadow figure darted to his right and disappeared as if he was made up of a cloud of smoke. I was in shock of what I had just witnessed. I tried to rationalize what I had just experienced. I did not tell me friends about the shadow figure until the next day because I thought they might think I was crazy. I thought this experience would have frightened me but instead it intrigued me to learn more about the paranormal.

 

A month after seeing the black shadow figure I went with friends on a local ghost tour. At one point in the tour the guide was having everyone in the group be very quiet and the guide was trying a knock test asking any ghosts or spirits to knock back to let the group become aware of their presence. Nothing knocked back, however during the time it was quiet my daughter, myself and a few others in the group heard the disembodied voices of a couple of little girls talking among themselves and giggling. I could not make out what they were saying. It lasted less than 10 seconds and then it stopped. After my second paranormal experience I started looking for a paranormal group to join. I searched online and found Finderscreepers. Finderscreepers appealed to me because of the level of professionalism maintained by the group and the groups purpose to collect legitimate evidence to help others and to further the field of paranormal research. I am happy I get to be a part of such a great group of people!
