Case #OCC111320091
Haunting Investigation of a Historical Site
13 November, 2009
Collins Castle in Davis, Oklahoma

Collins Castle is nestled in a mountainside overseeing Honey Creek in Davis, Oklahoma. It was constructed of native stone in the early 1930's by Dr. Ellsworth Collins, (professor at Oklahoma University and author of "The 101 Ranch"). Along as serving as Dr. Collins summer home, the castle was also used as the headquarters for the Bar C Ranch.
FindersCreepers has investigated the castle on many occasions and although we hesitate to claim that a haunting truly exists here, we have enjoyed a few incredibly interesting experiences at the location. One of our most amazing nights was on November 13th of 2009 when we took a couple of gentlemen on a private tour of the castle.
The investigation began like all others with introductions, photo's and baseline EMF sweeps, however, not long into the evening we began to experience some activity that truly took us by surprise. It began with a knock test in one of the larger of the castle rooms. After explaining why I was knocking and asking for a response, we heard two distinct and very loud knocks. You can hear the actual responses in the following clip.

After verifying that the responses were not caused by any of the team or guests, we did a sweep of the property to ensure that there were no other explanations for the sounds and found that we were still alone.
Note: The castle is constructed of solid stone, and therefore there are no normal settling sounds that you expect to hear in a wooden structure. It is very rare to hear knocking sounds in the castle.
Soon after the positive knock test result, Tim noticed a low-level spike on his EMF detector and asked for a photo to be taken, (seen below).

Tim Doyon investigating Collins Castle in Davis, Oklahoma. During the investigation, Tim had experienced an EMF spike and asked for a photo to be taken. In the resulting picture, you can see a faint orb directly in front of his EMF Detector.
Note: We do not claim that the orb is paranormal in nature, but post it here simply because we find the timing and positioning of it to be very "interesting."

After the photo was taken, Tim followed the spike through a doorway, down a narrow passageway and into a tiny room. Here, his EMF spiked again, and so he asked Susie to bring the gear and the guests into the room to do another EVP session. We were only in the room for a few moments when we all heard a disembodied male voice. In the audio clip below, you can hear the team respond to the voice which is heard very faintly at least three times during the clip. It is very important to note that this is NOT an EVP, we all heard this with our own two ears, and that makes it a disembodied voice. In contrast, EVP are voices you do not hear at the time of the original recording. I must also let you know that in person, the voice was much louder and much clearer then what you hear in the audio. This is quite often the case; you don't hear EVP and yet they show up on audio. With disembodied voices, the exact opposite is true. You hear it loud and clear with your ears, and yet it only shows up faintly, (if at all) on audio.

After we heard the disembodied voice, the team along with our guests left the room and again searched the property. No other people were any where around, (it was a cold winters night and the park was virtually empty). We gathered again and continued the investigation, however there was no other significant paranormal phenomena experienced that night.
